Uses
A herbal combination supplement used to support prostate health, relieve lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia, and promote urinary tract wellness.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component. Uva ursi should be avoided in pregnancy, lactation, and in patients with kidney disorders. Not a substitute for medical treatment of prostate disease.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include mild gastrointestinal upset, nausea, and headache. Saw palmetto rarely causes bleeding due to antiplatelet effects.
Warnings
Uva ursi should not be used for more than 2 weeks continuously due to risk of hepatotoxicity and other adverse effects. These supplements do not replace medical evaluation for prostate conditions.
