Used for short-term control of supraventricular tachycardia, rapid ventricular rate in atrial fibrillation or flutter, and perioperative tachycardia or hypertension.
Severe sinus bradycardia, advanced heart block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, or hypersensitivity.
Hypotension, dizziness, sweating, bradycardia, and infusion-site reactions may occur.
Monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and signs of heart failure. May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia.
Cardioselective beta-1 blocker with rapid onset and very short duration of action.
